Our talented, dedicated people are the foundation of our success

We invest in our employees by offering a total rewards package that includes exceptional health and retirement benefits and boundless opportunities for career growth.

Through our partnership with the University of California, the Lab offers a robust total benefits package. We offer comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, as well as many other supplemental resources. Plan your future with our pension or 401K-style plans which offer generous matching funds.

We offer unparalleled opportunities for continuous growth. We invest in our employees through learning and development opportunities, mentorship programs, and top notch education resources.

We encourage employees to pursue their passions outside of work. The Lab is a family-friendly employer, offering supportive programs, policies, and resources to help your family thrive.

Full-time on-site work is a traditional work arrangement where the nature of the position’s duties requires an employee to work full time on one of our Lab sites.

A hybrid work arrangement is one where an employee is required to work on site for a portion of their time on a regular basis, but can telework effectively.

Full-time remote work is when the employee works exclusively off-site as part of the terms of employment. Occasional on-site visits will be determined by specific business needs.

Berkeley Lab builds a collaborative talent community and fosters career growth by supporting veterans and community partnerships.
